The Major stood, sword raised in the autumn light.

When the King welcomed President Zelenskyy at Windsor today I watched the officer’s body language.

Reverence.
⠀
Because President Zelenskyy personifies the code by which the military serve:

Service to country first.
⠀
Windsor has welcomed many dignitaries—but rarely living legends.

I’m not a diplomat. Nor a geopolitical expert.


But I know something about communication.

And because I care deeply about EU sovereignty, and Ukraine’s survival, I have a question for Brussels.

Why the hesitation to speak with moral clarity?
⠀
Trump says no Tomahawks for Ukraine in Washington.

And yes to Putin in Budapest.

A senior EU official called the optics “awkward for both the EU and NATO.”

It’s more than awkward.

It’s a careless gift to Putin, who seeks to weaken both the EU and NATO.

Moral clarity is not confrontation, nor escalation.

It’s leadership.
